Description: Israel Defense Forces - Idf/Zahal Gala Abroad Attache Representative 40's Jacket Suit. This is a very rare authentic Idf Military GALA Ceremonial jacket used by Israeli representatives abroad. Sewn in Israel by the known "Iwanir Fashions" and has it's sewn label. This firm operated in Israel during the 40's-50's. Has 4 front pockets, 2 inside pockets and 2 epaulets/shoulder straps. All of these have special metal buttons with the engraved Israeli Army Idf/Zahal insignia symbol. The shoulders are padded and on the left sleeve is an Israel flag patch (a bit faded) with the word "Israel" in Hebrew and English. Size: seems to be a Medium. Measures approx 29"/51cm from armpit to armpit, 17.3"/44cm from the armpit to the end of the sleeve and 24.4"/62cm from the shoulder to the end of the sleeve. Color: khaki/brownish. In amazing perfect condition for its age, except some minor wear in the INSIDE cloth lining (as seen in the second photo from the left above). This suit must have been used abroad (out of Israel) by an Israeli Idf/Zahal top level attache, representative or for some historic event or meeting during the 40's-50's.
