This is one of those pieces I have seen before and am often surprised that their are not more of them. Being painted on tin, I am guessing that most of them were recycled as we came out of the depression and into World War 2. I have found a couple auction records of others having sold but only a few over the last decade and none for sale anywhere that I can find currently. Painted on tin measuring 18 x 30 inches, this is really a wonderful sign. As you can see, there is some paint loss but all is still readable with no problem. I actually like the "patina" and paint loss as you can see this was used outside on the roads in the 1930s. Woodmont is a borough of the city of Milford Connecticut.
