Description: This is an impressive and large vase by Reinhold Schlegelmilch made in German occupied Poland between 1946-1956. A small period. It has the green and red backstamp Poland China, RS with the green wreath and under it made in ( German) Poland. Possibly made in 1948-1956. I would say in 1948 perhaps earlier with the stamp added. The vase is fully covered over with two beautiful pheasants at the base of a tree, well covered in foliage. It has the typical RS trade mark sponging on the back of the vase. It is an impressive 9.5” and in with 5”. The RS stands for Reinhold Schlegelmilch who opened a factory in Poland which lasted from 1946-1956. As a result this is a very rare historic vase. Prussia is no longer an active political entity in modern times but rather a historical region comprised of the modern day nations, German, Poland and Russia as well as parts of some nearby nations. This is a lovely great piece of historical memorabilia for your already extensive collection of RS Prussia/Poland China. There is no damage on this lovely vase just my bad photography. Thank you for taking a look at my site and please email for any further information on this rare hard to find vase.
