Swid Powell was founded in 1982 by Nan Swid and Addie Powell, whose collaboration produced bold contemporary designs in furniture, graphic art and clothing as well as china and other home wares. Design: The pattern is called "Drum" and this plate is in the color called Papaya. It portrays a stylized drum with a wide yellow band and a thin black and white band against a backdrop of fine pure white porcelain. It was produced from 1994 to 1996 in partnership with the designer Geoffrey Beene. Condition: The plate is in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear.
