Description: Since the release of the new book by Richard Coleman with nice pictures and prices, it is now a lot easier to price these elusive copper coins that saw extensive circulation in the early United States and were legal until at least 1858. He priced the coins using auction records, fixed price lists and of course his extensive knowledge of the series. These coins are mentioned in the Red Book although there is not enough room to list them there. This is a quite rare evasion halfpenny. Very similar to Colemans EH-314 of which I see one other listed now. That one is priced at $385 and is not as nice as mine. My coin is almost the same, but both dies are different. A new version of a rare coin. Look in your copy of Coleman and compare the differences. I have owned this coin for years and only noticed the difference when I decided to list it. Never took too close a look at it and just put it in my collection. I think the coin is nearly uncirculated even though the reverse is a bit weak in the center. A rare chance for an extremely hard to find evasive copper. Could have seen service in the early U.S. See the scans. U.S, shipping is $4 it will cost me more. PayPal preferred I am always open to offers on any of my listings. Just ask. Worst thing is I say no. I COMBINE SHIPPING USUALY ADDING NOTHING AND WHEN I DO ONLY ENOUGH TO COVER ADDITIONAL INSURANCE OR POSTAGE. IF YOU PAY FOR MORE THAN ONE ITEM, I WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE.
