Description: Offering a vintage and quite rare American Microphone Company model D5T Dynamic. This Los Angeles based company took a leading role in the 40's and 50's during the Hollywood "Golden Years" movie boom, and produced some uniquely attractive mics. This nicely chromed "bullet" design is a real beauty and well-engineered with some good heft behind it. The original element no longer functioned, so we have installed a new full fidelity capsule. (Check out the video/audio sample.) **If you prefer a crystal element instead, we can accommodate that.** This mic has a standard 5/8" thread for mounting to a desk or floor stand, but it's design also makes it an ideal mic for harp with a comfortable feel in the hand. The pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly, physical condition is decent, with some mild wear/aging to the all-chromed casing. A new 5' shielded cable is included, 3 pin Amphenol plug to male XLR plug. (We can swap the XLR for a 1/4" male phono plug if you prefer.)
