Description: I purchased this bikini from North Beach Leather’s Galleria location in Houston, TX in 1983. As you’ll be able to tell from the images, it’s been worn but not abused. The leather is still soft to the touch, and all of the wooden beads are present, but the feathers have been lost. The catalog pictured is included in the purchase of the bikini, and the spread shows its former glory and original purchase price. The catalog is dated 1984, but the suit must have been offered for at least two consecutive years, because I’m positive I bought it in early summer of ’83. I was advised not to expose it to the ocean or pool water, and it never has been; I’ve only submerged it in tap water in a sink long enough to refresh it, and then dried it flat. A person with some keen eyes and needle skills could easily replace the feathers and the liner in the bottom. It’s beautiful on the body, and I hope that someone will enjoy it.
