Description: Very Rare Work Progress Administration WPA shovel. One of President New Deal programs. This shovel dates from around the 1930s early 1940s. It is in fantasic shape. Completely solid with no wobble on handle or shovel head. This shovel still has some original green paint throughout it. Stamped WPA on the shovel head and also possibly the wooden shaft seen in the 6th and 7th photo. You can make out a W and possibly an A on the wooden handle.
