Based on an FPGA Altera Cyclone II, the Carnivore2 cartridge was created by the Russian RBSC group to offer the best in storage, memory expansion and resources for your MSX computer. The cartridge offers a flash rom memory for fast game/program storage and loading, Compact Flash/CF card storage interface (the package includes a 4Gb card), Nextor ROM for advanced features in MSXDOS2, 1MB RAM mapper, 720KB MegaRAM*, SCC, SCC+, FMPAC (with MSX Music ROM) and an additional PSG. You can turn the functions on or off independently and combine them at will with the configuration software (included in the CF card that comes with the cartridge). The additional hardware settings implemented by the cartridge can be stored in flash memory and then loaded from the home menu. In this menu you can also choose any of the ROMs recorded on the flash memory. The cartridge comes with Nextor DOS ROM. Available when the CF function (IDE) is enabled.
