Backing is flexible. One hole approximately 3 inches long near the edge on the bottom of the skin. This buffalo hide came from a ranch-raised U.S. buffalo that was raised for food. The buffalo was not killed just for the hide. Genus and species: Bison bison. Ranch. USA.
