Description: I purchased this at an estate auction in Van Wert Ohio where it was found on the property out in the country. I've never seen a hornet's nest this big before. It measures from top to bottom 19 inches and 14 inches from side to side. They are very delicately made by hornets and you can see how much time and effort goes into making this piece of artwork of nature. It would look cool hanging from your front porch to scare off would be salesmen. School teachers could use it as a teaching lesson for students to see how such tiny creatures can make something so artistic and symmetrical. It is VERY fragile though so handle with care so as not to crush it It is made around a big stick and should only be held by the handle of the stick and NOT THE NEST ITSELF.
