CORBIN #1343 MORTISE LOCK w/KEYS 2 3/4" BS 7 7/8" BRASS FACE (14429) Vintage, circa 1920-1940, arguably one of Corbin's finest locks ever made, the very popular # 1343 push button cylinder entry lock. Prominently featured in their catalogs from about 1927 thru 1935. Push button entry mortise has been restored. We include a new brass Security Guard cylinder and two keys. MORTISE FACE: Mortise lock has a Japanned face plate with a length of 7 7/8" and a width of 1 1/8" and thickness of 1/8". BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 3/4". BOX: The box measures 3 7/8" from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the back of the box and 5 1/2" from top to bottom. SCREWS: Screws are on 6 7/8" centers. DROP: The drop from the center of the cylinder lock opening down to the center of the knob post hole is 3 7/8".FUNCTIONALITY: Designed to be used with a turn knob from each side of the door. Also includes a 3/16" square opening to allow for a thumb turn latch from the inside that would throw the deadbolt. KNOB POST or KNOB SHAFT: The lock accommodates a split post shaft with a 3/8" opening on both sides of the cam. REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible. KEY: The lock comes with the two keys and it works well from either side of the door. . If you are simply replacing an existing lock identical to this one, you may already have everything you need.
