Works for remington model 700 rifles chambered in short action calibers like: 223, 22-250, 243, 6.5 creedmoor, 308, 7mm-08, etc. ***Remington 700 inlets are made to accommodate standard Remington factory lugs. Some wider and thicker (thickness toward muzzle) aftermarket recoil lugs will also fit (up to 0.390″). Really large ones may require inletting.***Barrel contours accepted: 1.25″ for 4″ in front of action face, then 1.20″ straight to end of forend. A 1.25″ straight cylinder barrel will fit but we feel that the clearance is too minimal. We recommend using no larger than a varmint contour to keep proper balance.
