This piece is wonderful, the elephant is standing on the base. There is a star on his foot. It would be a great addition to any Rinconada collection! It was introduced in 1991 and retired in 2000! This (as are all of the Artesania Rinconada collection) was hand carved and painted in Uruguay. This is part of the Classic Design Collection. I see no chips or cracks. etc. The NEW animal is approximately 2 1/4" tall. The piece will also come in a Rinconada box-pictured.
