Description: An opportunity to own a rare Rolex watch and a piece of WW II history! This Rolex watch has a serial number that dates it to 1942. It is stainless steel, a coveted material during WW2, when it was in limited supply. The hands and numbers are luminous and unfaded. The watch has a clean gold face that has gained a glowing patina with age. On the reverse, the watch is engraved "FS Fazendin US Navy." According to US military records, Fazendin enlisted in 1943 and served in the South Pacific. There is one small mark or dent by 11:00 and hairline scratches on the back of the watch that are natural for an item that is over 70 years old. There are no scratches on the crystal. Besides these minor cosmetic issues, the watch is in very good working condition. It winds and keeps time, though complete accuracy can't be guaranteed. The watchband is not original but it is vintage and in excellent condition.
