Description: I have not seen this pattern before so any information would be greatly appreciated. As I look at it, it seems to be perhaps Japanism in style, with a bridge, elevated wooden houses, perhaps mountains in the distance. The predominant color is pale green with pink flowers. The platter has utensil marks but no cracks or repairs. There are a couple of areas to the rim where pattern is missing. The red Doulton backstamp for the era is present also the hand painted Pattern number E2680. As to provenance there are two paper stickers, one - possibly an auction house showing plate as '19th Century' sold for 2,200 FF which would put the sale before 2001, when the FF was replaced by the Euro I believe. My conversion tool showed a USD amount of approx. $350. The Other a 'Gander and White' sticker is interesting as according to their website they are a 'Fine Art global storage and logistics company' with offices in the US and Europe. It seems this platter is a world traveler. One other mark is present on the underside of the plate - red, with almost an oriental character look. The platter is 12.5 inches wide and 10 inches across and would display well. Please review the photographs and let me know if you have any input on what it is or, need further information. Before packing for shipping, the platter weighs 2 pounds. Thanks so much for looking.
