Description: W 5.75" H 1.75" D 5" Hand ainted by Kovaleva in the Kholui style. Simply gorgeous. When moved in the light, the layers of mother-of-pearl background are visible. Completely hand made in the traditional papier-mâché style. Inside has a very faint smell of linseed oil, typical of an authentic lacquer miniature. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs.
