This is a typical "Socialite Lubok" with flirting couple, dressed in "German" clothes. Man is playing his flute, inviting his date for a dance, and, possibly more. Why German clothes?In 18 Century Russian Tsar Peter the Great forced people to dress in more "civilized" European costumes, especially during the holidays.
