Sansui 221 Receiver + SP-30 Speaker Combo. Serviced: Re-cap'd+ LEDs + Bluetooth!

Description: This listing is for a Sansui 221 Stereo Receiver and a pair of Sansui SP-30 speakers in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. The receiver has been re-capped, including the Main Filter caps, Power Supply and Amplifier boards. This combination has the classic vintage look and sound, and has been tested to confirm full functionality. It has Phono, Tape and Aux inputs. A Bluetooth Receiver will be included (can be used with either the Tape or Aux input). Also includes a pair of basic 4’ speakers wires. It is a great choice for those with limited space. The receiver is 16 ¾” W x 10 ½” D x 5” H. Each speaker is 16 ¾” H x 10 ¾” W x 7 ¾” D. This combination is a good choice for use in a small to medium size listening area such as a bedroom, office, dorm room, etc. A copy of the Operating Instructions for the 221 receiver is included, as well as an information sheet on the SP-30 speakers. The following outline covers the work done: · Speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels · The tuner was tested using a basic 300-ohm FM antenna attached. Both AM and FM stations were received as expected across the radio dial. · Aux and Tape inputs were tested and function as expected. · Phono input was tested and functions as expected. · Headphone jack was tested and is working. · All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate DeoxIt treatment. · The Main Filter, Power Supply, and Amplifier capacitors were replaced with quality Nichicon materials. · The faceplate, dial scale and all knobs were removed, cleaned and hand polished · Radio Dial and Meter lamps were replaced with Emerald Green LED lamps. · The Stereo lamp was replaced with a Red LED and lights when a FM Stereo signal is received. · Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance · The power cord was inspected and cleaned. · A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality This listing describes the item to the best of our ability. As is typical for units of this era, there are minor blemishes that can be seen by careful viewing of the many high-resolution pictures included. The most notable is a slight lifting of the wood-grain look vinyl along the bottom edge of the top cover (see last picture).
