Description: This is a scarce 1861 S $2 1/2 Dollar gold coin in fine to very fine condition. It has full rim, date, LIBERTY and there is a small dig/bagmark below the star at 12 o'clock noted and the coin has a shiny surface from a old cleaning and the reverse has full rim and lettering and wear on the eagle and same shiny surface. This is not unusual for these early San Francisco gold coins and it is priced with the issues taken into account. Still a tough early date to find for sure.
