A deteriorated plunger leaks continuously ice-cold water into the drain and is replaced with the "relative warm" water supply. The result is low ice production - often a tricky task for a service tech! Dump-Valve don't OPENS anymore: Ice machines refill and then drain the water trough to remove the leftover minerals from the previous freeze cycle. If the dump-valve is stuck closed the fresh water never flushes and the minerals remain in the trough! This results in cloudy Ice cubes, containing minerals and impurities.
