Description: Scream (film, 1996)SynopsisThe normally quiet California town of WoodsboroN3 is rocked by the murders of two college students. The police investigate, and the killer strikes again, taking inspiration from horror films from the 1970s and 1980s. Who will be the next victim ? Who is hiding behind the assassin's mask? The investigation begins when the killer targets a certain Sidney Prescott2, whose mother died a year earlier in strange circumstances.Detailed synopsisThe fountain where Sidney, Billy, Tatum, Stuart and Randy gather at the beginning of the film. This fountain is located in Healdsburg, California. One night, Casey Becker (Drew Barrymore) is home alone when she prepares to watch a horror movie with her boyfriend. While she is making popcorn, a man gives her a first call5,6. Little by little, the girl and her interlocutor become friends until he asks her name and pretends to want to know the identity of the girl he is observing5. Then he begins to harass her with terrifying and threatening calls throughout the evening2. He then introduces her to her boyfriend, Steven Orth (Kevin Patrick Walls), who is tied up and gagged outside on one of the garden chairs. The guy subjects Casey to a game: questions about horror movies will allow Steve to live or not. The latter's fate rests on the shoulders of Casey, who must answer all the questions correctly to save her boyfriend's life. Unfortunately, the girl ends up making a mistake on one of the questions and, in spite of herself, condemns the young man to death by disembowelment2,5. The killer eventually reveals himself (wearing a black disguise and a white mask resembling a ghost) and attacks Casey in the garden as she tries to escape, even though the girl's parents are returning from their evening out and are only a few meters away from her. Unfortunately, Casey is unable to scream after the killer tries to strangle her. The killer stabs her repeatedly even as her parents hear her dying through the second phone in the house. When the line goes dead and they can no longer call the police, Casey's father sends his wife to the neighbors for help, but when she goes outside, Casey's mother screams in terror and collapses when she sees Casey's body disemboweled and hanging from a tree...Distribution Neve Campbell (VF: Sylvie Jacob; VQ: Lisette Dufour): Sidney Prescott Skeet Ulrich (VF: Lionel Melet; VQ: Sylvain Hétu): Billy Loomis Rose McGowan (VF: Marie-Eugénie Maréchal; VQ: Aline Pinsonneault): Tatum Riley David Arquette (VF: Daniel Lafourcade; VQ: Sébastien Dhavernas): Dwight "Dewey" Riley Courteney Cox (VF: Céline Monsarrat; VQ: Anne Bédard): Gale Weathers Matthew Lillard (VF: Thierry Ragueneau; VQ: François Godin): Stuart "Stu" Macher Jamie Kennedy (VF: Mathias Kozlowski; VQ: Gilbert Lachance): Randy Meeks Drew Barrymore (VF: Virginie Ledieu; VQ: Christine Bellier): Casey Becker W.
