This is a new design of the SPEEDTIMER, born from the pursuit of the essence of measurement function as a chronograph with the most precise measurement accuracy. Equipped with a solar chronograph caliber: 8A50 that can measure up to 1/100 seconds. By separating the time mode (time display) and stopwatch mode, the functionality as a measuring device is maximized. The dial design pursues "visibility" and "readability" by completely separating the stopwatch display by measurement unit. Each chronograph hand that measures up to 1/100 seconds uses a color that contrasts with the base color of the subdial to ensure high "readability". Hammer-shaped buttons are used with consideration for "operability (ease of pressing)". The design embodies Seiko's design philosophy of pursuing "accurate timekeeping".
