Description: these are such great vintage bookends/statues!! a set of 2 Chicago Institute of Art Lion Sculpture Replicas, by ALVA Museum Replicas, made in 1980. they're in good overall vintage condition, with some visible wear & some visible touch-ups. these are fairly hard to come by, and here's a chance to get a set of 2, (each slightly different from the other), which is awesome, because then they can used as bookends, if desired. they're each marked ALVA 80 on the bottom back side of the base, which is slightly visible in picture #14 (sorry I didn't get it more close up). **I can see areas on the edge of the bases that have been touched up, and then both tails (which are metal, btw, so they won't break off) have areas of paint loss.** Overall, a great vintage set & very collectable & giftable! enjoy! :) approximate measurements:H- 9 inchesW- 9.5 inD- 3.75 inweight (each)- 4.5 lbs
