Description: Tony Vaccaro is one of the most widely respected American magazine photographers of the 50s and 60s, and hardly an unknown photo-chronicler of the Second World War in Luxembourg. In 2002 there was the exhibition "Shots of War" in the Muse`e d`Histoire de la Ville de Luxembourg of his World War II photographs This is the hardcover catalog of that exhibition. Vaccaro's photographs were taken with a simple camera and sometimes had to be developed in the helmets of his comrades. Accordingly, many of these photographs are not of studio quality. On December 20, 2002 Tony Vaccaro, on his 80th birthday, was in Luxemburg to experience this exhibit. This is a wonderful book of his World War II photographs.
