Description: YOU ARE BUYING 100 FRESH SIBERIAN C SEEDSSiberian C peaches are the hardiest peach that I know of. In my vineyard in the 2012 polar vortex they are the only peach trees that survived the winter. The fruits buds were killed off that year but the wood of the trees had almost zero winter damage. They are a white peach, very juicy. The flavor of seedling white peaches is more intense than a Georgia style peach. Trees get to be about 15-18' tall when mature and you will hang more fruit if you have more than one tree for pollination. From a pit you will have a fruiting full size tree in 4 years in optimal growing conditions. They were originally introduced as a rootstock in the 80s but it is rare to find them offered as rootstock anymore. These peaches are good for fresh eating, jam, jelly, juice and wine. I have been making a very flavorful siberian C peach mead the last couple years. The pits I am selling are from 3rd and 4th generation selected trees. Fruit size on some trees is twice the size of first generation Siberian C trees. GERMINATINGKeep seeds stratified in the fridge until spring. Generally seed will often germinate in the fridge in March. Pot up and keep seed warm, 70-80F.
