Description: The thing that sets our bowls apart is the FINISH. It's not a "dull wood" finish. We have a special bees wax aging finish that we apply to all of our bowls. It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. And it STAYS that way for the life of the bowl. It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful. You will see carving marks and irregularities in the wood. Rick simply distresses and waxes and seals them in to blend beautifully with the surrounding patina. And BECAUSE of the distressing/waxing process that we are put these through, they are NOT suitable for rolling dough or keeping raw foods in. Measures 18 7/8 inches long, 5 inches wide, 1 3/4" to 2" tall (remember, it's a HAND carved piece) and weighs just shy of One and a half Pounds. Rick did this one in a Natural distressed finish.
