Squier Bullet Stratocaster - Hardtail

Description: This is a PARTS GUITAR. During the last 18 months good instruments have been a challenge to find. So I have been building them... Please consider this a "stage" guitar. 1. This is a Squier Bullet Strat. No Attempt to deceive here.... original Squier Serial Number and Country of Manufacture have been left intact.2. Mexican Pickguard with CTS Pots, Switchcraft output jack, Mexican 5 way switch. Large orange drop capacitor.3. Pickups are '51 replica's made by a now defunct manufacturer VHT. They sound great, and unusual when tone is dialed up.4. Hard tail is original to the squier.5. Squier Logo replaced with Fender (Made in USA) then a light coat of lacquer applied to entire headstock. (Not a great rattle can job - but should age well) IMPORTANT: The kluson tuning keys are from a 1963 8 string lap steel. I had these in the shop, they each had a bent or broken peg. I sawed off the bad fourth tuner from each strip, put grooves and holes in the posts. They work fine, but have an odd quirk ! The top three strings tune in the OPPOSITE direction from the bottom three. Look carefully at the photo and it will make sense. Strange, but kinda cool. A good Kluson 6 tuner strip from 1963 is probably worth $300. IMPORTANT 2: This guitar was a return channel resale. (Brown Sticker SN Removed) A Factory Second. This explains the perfectly smooth defect in the finish in neck pocket. Do you like it when folks approach you after a show and ask what the hell is that instrument? This ones for you.
