Description: Please read & note: This is a Rights holding DVD created & produced by me and is not factory made or sealed. I strive to produce the best DVD's possible from the sometimes VERY old Public Domain material. Films that are public domain are unpreserved and not professionally remastered. I remaster all of my films myself to the best possible quality achieveable. My DVDs are not the quality of todays Modern DVDs or Bluray discs. If you are looking for this kind of quality then these discs are not for you. Please note this when purchasing, but also know that all of the films are very watchable. All pictures are actual screen captures from the DVDs. To keep my prices as low as possible all my DVDs are delivered in plain paper DVD sleeves and the DVDs title will be labeled on the back of the DVD envelope. (See picture) All of my DVD's come with a menu for easy film selection. Total runtime of the DVD is 30 minutes. Item specifics are: Film 1: "200" COLOR Runtime 3 minutes This trippy tribute to our country's 200th birthday was funded by a Bicentennial Project Grant and animated by Vincent Collins who made other psychedelic cartoons. This film was produced by the United States Information Agency -the government's propaganda agency. Film 2: "The Star-Spangled Banner," (1940s) COLOR Runtime 1 minute Technicolor image of American flag flying accompanied by words and music of U.S. national anthem. I remember these from "This concludes our broadcast day" on the networks before they had programming around the clock. Film 3: Movietone News: "The Star-Spangled Banner" (Version I) (1942) B&W Runtime 2 minutes Patriotic montage of scenes accompanying performance of U.S. national anthem as sung by Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians. Film 4: Movietone News: "The Star-Spangled Banner" (Version II) (1944) B&W Runtime 1 minute Patriotic montage of scenes accompanying performance of U.S. national anthem as sung by Merrill Miller. Film 5: "Story Of Our Flag" (1938) B&W Runtime 10 minutes Follows the evolution of the flag of the United States from the colonial flags to the stars and stripes of today. Shows by animation the development of the western territories into the present states and how this development effected changes in the flag. Film 6: "Liberty" COLOR Runtime 10 minutes An alright film made laughably bad by the shots of the Statue Of Liberty, which it's not. It looks like either a lighter or a cheap replica. The 'flame's size makes it look like 20 feet in real life. Anyways, after that, is a very propagandistic American Gung-ho speech made by "liberty' about how wonderful it is to live in America, and how less free, well, everyone else is. Film 7: "The Statue Of Liberty" B&W Runtime 3 minutes Another film detailing the Statue Of Liberty. I claim ownership and rights to this media. All the films on this DVD have been researched and are copyright free or the copyrights have expired due to non renewal.
