This iconic piece from the Empire Strikes Back movie was made made by Hasbro in 2007 for sale in 2008 under Lucasfilms Ltd. license. No chincy, plasticy feel in this hefty classic piece. This smooth, red-light colored blade lightsaber is like the one wielded by Darth Vader in the movie. It is a vintage item, UPC 653569352150. The box is included as proof of originality but shows some distress from tape tear (see photo). This saves you $ and the lightsaber is in great, only lightly used, condition. The sound is fantastic (like in the movie) and it gets attention as it makes that "swish" sound when activated (slide the bumpy clear switch forward) and hums as it slices through the air! (see description on box photo). Only needs 3 AAA batteries (not included) to operate - these go inserted into the cartridge behind screw cap on end of light saber. Light saber turns and operates fine with red color and sound effects from 4 internal motion sensors of power up, idle/slash humm, clash, power down.
