Description: This beautiful piece of sterling silver vesta case has been in my family for generations! It has been taken care and has not been used in my lifetime nor my grandparent's lifetime. It has the Birmingham Hallmark, The Lion Passsant, and also the lowercase "r". I have done my research but I am pulling up the timeframe of 1789-to 1891. Anywhere in these dates would coincide with the date of this. It is embellished with perhaps a monogram of a name but I highly doubt it. It looks to have just beautifully scripted embellishments on the front. It does open and close.
