Description: AZURITE: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia. Dimensions: 5.6 x 4.5 x 4.1cm, large miniature. A trio of thick, bold, super lustrous crystals of deep blue Azurite constitute this cluster from the classic Tsumeb Mine in Namibia. This special pocket, one of the few named at Tsumeb, is noted for unusually lustrous crystals like these. The crystals measure 3.8, 3.2 and 3cm in length, respectively. The famous Easter Pocket found on the 8 level in 1994 and pieces from here are rarely on the market and if so they are expensive! There is some matrix at the bottom and a small knot of matrix attached to the 3cm crystal and very minor contacting locally. There is a crystal impression on one side where another Azurite must have been attached. A very good and aesthetic Azurite from one of the last great pockets mined at Tsumeb before closure! A fantastic piece at a great price! Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail shipping. Thank you for reviewing this listing and see my other items!
