I AM A 100% POSITIVE EBAY SELLER SINCE 2002- PLEASE BID/BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!! GENEX WAS A SUB BRAND OF THE ROLEX WATCH CO AND WAS REGISTERED WHEN WILSDORF AND DAVIS REGISTERED THE ROLEX BRAND. BUT THEY ARE SUPER RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS AS NOT MANY OF THEM WERE MADE. THERE TENDED TO BE MORE LADY’S VERSIONS AROUND BUT THIS IS THE FIRST MANS GENEX I HAVE SEEN WITH A FABULOUS ART DECO CASE AND DIAL. THIS BEAUTIFUL WATCH WAS A PRESENTATION GIFT TO WILLIAM HOWARD BARKER O.B.E WHO WAS CHIEF FIRE OFFICER IN BOURNMOUTH IN JULY 1941. (PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR ANOTHER WATCH OWNED BY THIS MAN THAT I WILL BE LISTING SOON) CASE: This is an absolutely beautiful and rare 2 piece ROLEX SIGNED hinged back solid 9 CARAT SOLID GOLD good quality watch case. The case is in EXCELLENT condition. The case back only shows some light normal wear marks for the age of the watch. The case sides are excellent. The front and the rear of the case, snap in to place to very well. The inside of the case is signed 'RWC LTD' (ROLEX WATCH CO LTD) and fully hallmarked for solid 9 carat gold with Scottish hallmarks (GLASGOW) dating this watch to 1928. The case measures approximately just under 2.5cms (25mm) in width excluding the crown and 3.8cms (38mm) in length including the lugs. DIAL: This is a FANTASTIC ORIGINAL entirely original GENEX SIGNED (GENEX WAS A TRADE NAME USED BY ROLEX AT THIS TIME LIKE TUDOR OR ROLCO ETC) original white engine turned ART DECO dial. It is in BEAUTIFUL original condition for its age showing a medium natural patina. The dial has black painted numerals which are in good condition. The blued steel hands are in very good condition. The word Genex is a little rubbed. The crystal seems to be the ORIGINAL and is made from Glass with a curved finish. It is in good condition with light marks AND JUST ONE EDGE CHIP IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT. It is showing normal wear usage for its age. MOVEMENT: This is a wonderful clean fantastic FULLY SIGNED ROLEX GENEX ‘VERIFLAT’ 15 jewel movement. The movement is in lovely condition and is signed in a beautiful typeset which was only stamped on true ROLEX GENEX movements. THIS MOVEMENT HAS BEEN SERVICED RECENTLY. It winds and sets as it should and keeps time to within approx 30 secs per day. BAND: This beautiful ROLEX GENEX watch is fitted with BRAND NEW BROWN LEATHER 12mm open ended extra long band. The band is in excellent condition and has never been worn. The watch and band measure just over 9 inches in total length so it will fit a mans wrist.
