Description: Here's a chance for fans of the Warner Brothers animated TV series SUPERMAN ANIMATED to own a rare and unique piece of production art from my files! This 8 x 17" line drawing, a pan shot (it has a camera move across it) made on a sheet of bond paper, was executed with light blue pencil and black marker. I mainly served as a key background designer on the show and this setting was a design for the episode "Little Girl Lost", which featured Supergirl. It is listed as Season 2, Episode 7 and aired May 2, 2998. The drawing shows a cryo-chamber on the planet Argo in its destroyed version with the dead inhabitants—victims of the extreme frost and ice shards. For those visitors who don't know me, I've had an almost 50-year career in comics, animation, and commercial art, working for many major publishers such as DC Comics (Superman comics cover artist) and Marvel Comics (Iron Man cover art) as well as, in animation, serving as a chief background designer for the Batman Beyond show and many other WB Animation series. Also, I more recently was the key BG designer for the widely acclaimed 2023 Oscar-nominated animated feature film ROBOT DREAMS. This original art is a unique item and a perfect addition for collectors of animation art, comic books, and memorabilia, and is sure to increase in value. The drawing captures the essence of the modern age of animation and comics and is in the tradition of science fiction line art by artists such as Moebius, or equally, the type of world portrayed in anime movies such as those by Hayao Miyazaki and many others.
