Disconnects in seconds when you want to remove your doors. No tools required. What makes the Roadless Gear quick disconnect straps so much better than others on the market? Those other companies use 2" wide plastic buckles. Like you would find on your backpack. They look tough. But in fact - it does not take very much to snap the little plastic ears on those buckles. Like opening your door on a windy day. Or parking your rig on a steep side hill and the door slips out of your hand while opening it. The very first time any of these events happens - those other straps are trash. You would be amazed at how fragile they really are. The reason is that those plastic buckles are designed to hold a constant force - not a jarring force such as when the slack runs out on the strap andthe mass of 50lb door on the move wants to keep moving. OUCH!! Our straps use a 1" steel buckle. That absolutely will not - cannot break! Go ahead - test them out. After installing them give your door a good hard fling. If you break a set of these well replace them free of charge.
