Description: Please look carefully at the photos. This is the exact item you will receive. I have owned this for several months and it has been my “daily driver” albeit I only listen three or four times a month to vinyl. I need to make way for a pioneer turntable that I want to put in rotation next. Sadly, I’m going to let this one go. As you can see, it was a tough decision because as far as this brand of turntables go this is probably my favorite. (I read somewhere that this is called the poor man’s 1200, referencing the technics SL 1200.) Please note that the cover is in very good condition and is free from cracks and serious abrading. The scuffs that you see on the front and back evidently were from the platter coming off when it was turned upside down at one time. These scuffs are on the front and back as said, and there is a smaller one on the side. It does have other swirls, etc. that you would expect from something this age but overall presents well. I tried to angle the lighting to show you the most that I could. There are two tiny feet that go on the front corners of the lid bottom. The one closest to the tone arm is missing. The other one is still in place. The plinth is nice with no chips and scratches, etc. The original weight counterweight 45 RPM adapter, etc. is all there. The platter mat itself is still supple and in very good condition. The cartridge I believe is audio technica at71 and is good to go. It is fully functional, but an upgrade is always a good thing right? (The headshell/cartridge will be removed and shipped in its own package within the box. ) I have never used the memo-repeat option on this unit and I have not tested it. Whether it works or not, I do not know and cannot guarantee. All lights work it comes on and off and functions as it should. One quick note on the start and stop sometimes the start does not work. I would say this happens about half of the time. Usually if I press the button a couple more times it will come on. it is a common issue as I have read with turntables like these and can be rectified although most of the time I just move the arm out on my own anyway. It does turn on like it should as the arm swings out over the table. You will actually see this happen in the demo video that I put on YouTube. Here is the link, although you may need to copy and paste it into your browser. https://youtu.be/tb74Xxz17KE Lastly, you will note that the feet are not original feet but aftermarket aluminum feet. It did not have the original feet when I bought it and the previous owner had installed these. He did give me the box as well with the original screws if I wanted to hunt down a set of the original shoes for this unit. Of course I’ve never gotten around to it. These aftermarket feet are screwed and only a couple of threads deep so they do come loose quite easily and you will need to watch for that. The original box for these aftermarket feet will be included in this order. The original screws for the turntable are in a small bag you will find inside of this box. See photo. I try very hard to have happy satisfied customers. This will be shipped in an oversized box swimming in a sea of peanuts. The platter and mat will also be removed and packaged separately so it does not fall out and damage the lid enroute to you. You will find the platter assembly secured to the bottom of the turntable. As you know with shipping, every inch counts so the extra inches is reflected in the shipping price. It will ship priority mail as the difference between priority and ground is negligible and I always think it is far better that these packages spend less time in the hands of the post office. I will only ship to the 48 contiguous states. Stock eBay description: This Technics SL-Q3 Direct Drive Automatic Turntable is a vintage gem!
