Not really that much, but I thought it might be of interest to a potential buyer that the books for sale here were purchased directly from the biographer David Michaelis who was moving at the time and had an estate sale. That was around five years ago. It was a very rainy morning and when I got to his house the sale had already been called off. However, he let me look at the books and I bought this slip-cased pair and some other individual ones that I'll get around to listing soon (all ones he used in his research). In fact, I had to remove many little post-its from the pages. Fortunately, they didn't leave any evidence of having been there and he didn't write anything anywhere in the book. Not even his name.
