This is a First Edition, but a later printing--could well be a second printing. In the First Edition publisher red/burgundy cloth covers. Has all 4 First Edition points that are illustrated in my photos (P.9, P. 321, P.381 and P. 480). Shows some light corner wear. Hinges intact, but front cover hinge is soft. Nameplate of former owner appears. Original bookseller price of $3.00 still appears in pencil on front endpaper. Very slightly cocked. I will call the book Very Good. Measures 5 3/4 X 8 1/4, 754 pages. The later First Edition printings of this classic novel can be found on other internet booksites for upwards of $500!!!
