Description: The Homestead Hot Springs Virginia Lower Cascades Golf Course 9th Green Club House Vintage Postcard Homestead Resort is a 54 hole resort / open to the public golf and resort facility located in Hot Springs, Virginia. The facility has three 18-hole championship golf courses. They are, The Old course (1892), The Cascades Course (1923), and The Lower Cascades Course. The Lower Cascades Golf Course is the youngest of the three Homstead courses. The course opened in 1963 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Lower Cascades Course features open fairways and large, bent grass greens. There are water hazards coming into play on all three courses. It hosted qualifying rounds for the U.S. Amateur tournament. The Lower Cascades Golf Course was closed following the 2012 season. Please review the photos carefully for condition and detail. Normal wear associated with an old postcard have creases, corner bumps, scratches, ink on the front etc.
