Description: This is a 1914 ex-library copy of The Nigger of the Narcissus by Joseph Conrad published by Doubleday & Company, Inc. It has several flaws that are best shown in my photos. It has a plastic covered dust jacket that is in good condition except for chipping at the top of the spine and a label on the bottom of the spine. The spine has partially split on the front of the book, but it is still holding together. The spine at the back of the book is in good condition. There is a library card pocket, a label, and a stamp on the front page of the book. The pages of the book are lightly browned and in pretty good condition overall except that there is a brown substance staining about 10 pages, one page has a one-inch tear, and there are light bends to the corners of the bottom edges of the pages. There is a library stamp on the last page. When the dust jacket is removed there is tape residue on the front and back covers of the book.
