Description: The Osaka Woodcuts by Lubor Hajek. The artists of the Osaka School concentrated much of their efforts on portraits of actors in Kabuki Theatre. There are 53 full color plates. Soft covered book has sewn binding and is protected by a black tri-folded cloth covered case with a stylized image of Mount Fuji on the front. The black string that used to loop around the wood button for closure has frayed/ unattached The case has some fading. When closed, the case measures 10-3/8" x 8" x 7/8". The book itself is in excellent condition. I believe this is a 1st Edition, Collector's Edition from the 1950s. Please email any questions
