Tibetan Temple Carving Gilded Jeweled GARUDA 10" Bird of Vishnu

Description: Tibetan temple carving. Gilded and painted GARUDA figure with glass eyes and embellishments on his wings. The carving is approx. 10" tall, 6" wide and 3" deep. There are old nails in the "feet" where it was probably attached to a base or column. There is a new eye hook in the back with a piece of wire so that it can be hung on a wall. The piece shows lots of wear to the finish and some small losses on the tips of the wings and other high spots but no cracks or large chips.
