This shape is known in Japan as a mallet shape. The vase is firmly in the tradition of Shoji Hamada, Bernard Leach & some of their students such as Warren MacKenzie, Phil Rogers & David Leach. The vase comes with a signed & stamped wooden storage box which provides provenance The vase s 4 1/2” in diameter at the base & 6 3/4” in height. Excellent condition
