Description: Purchased by myself as a photographic resale item because it was a collectible & and usable. ITEM: TOPCON re-2, uses a 100 % tested copal bladed shutter, working at all speeds. The light meter was working then stopped. I removed baseplate and battery compartment had the dreaded corroded rivet. I cleaned it, checked solder joints, looked good but, no light meter after assembly. Dmm showed open circuit. Sorry, must be in tiny switch wires? Film winder was repaired by myself, a strange two part assembly. The cover is actually a two part design, CW rotation. Winder works good( when cap is snug) , well lubed, does not lay perfectly flat, otherwise very good. wear on back door paint. The catch here is the version 1, lens. Serviced by me 9 Mos ago, aperture is working well. I use ultra sonic cleaner and the whole lens is beautiful optics. Photos tell the truth. Digital mirrorless gem lens for a full frame cameras. As a film camera it's working shutter, this was the competition to Nikon Nikkormats, but it's coming along for the ride too you. Your buying a lens.
