You can see the tach needle jump up a couple hundred RPMs and hear the engine idle speed up when the AC is switched on. That confirms this VSV is in working condition and works just fine on the 1984 to 1988 22RE Trucks and 4Runners. Will work in 22R Carbureted models just fine too. This is the part that makes the engine idle a few hundred RPMs faster when the AC compressor engages. If your engine bogs down a couple hundred RPMs when you turn on your AC.
