Teacup & Saucer & Plate Gold Art Deco Border by Schaller & Co of Germany 1918-35

Description: This is for a trio set of beautiful porcelain teacup, saucer, and dessert plate that has a pretty art deco border of shiny gold on cream. It was made by Schaller and Company of Bavaria Germany. That border is on the edges of saucer and plate and on the inside of the cup. The pieces are also edged in shiny gold, with highlights on the ring handle and around the scalloped foot. This would be beautiful to display and use for special times with friends, or just to treat yourself. The plate is a perfect size for a treat to go with your tea or coffee, or even a sandwich if you are hosting a luncheon. The cup is wide mouthed, 4 inches in diameter, holds 3/4 cup to the top, so more like 2/3 cup comfortably, and are 2 & 1/4 inches tall. The saucer is 5 & 7/8 inches in diameter and the dessert plate is 7 & 1/2 inches in diameter. This backstamp with the S and the C curved together under the crown, and the words Bavaria and Germany was used from 1918-1935 according to porcelainmarksandmore.com. The S is for Schaller and the C is for Company. The cup, saucer and plate is in excellent antique or almost antique shape. I see no cracks, chips, stains or crazing, with close examination with a strong flashlight. There is some wear to the gold trim and design in places. Also, when I hold them at an angle to the light there are some scuffs on the glaze in places probably from being stacked over the years. Please zoom in on the pictures for a closer look.
