Description: 1930s-era pottery dinnerware plate that would have been displayed as a promotional item inside a store. Probably displayed in a grocery or department store. It reads "Oven Proof – Dinnerware & Kitchenware – Free with Cash Purchases." The printing on front was printed using a gold metallic ink. The plate measures 9.75" in diameter. Nice condition, one small chip on edge. The back has a stamp that reads "Camwood Ivory Universal-Cambridge, O. – Oven Proof – Made in U.S.A."This is basically a sample or store display. A great advertisement piece.
