Description: U.S. M1873 Springfield Trapdoor Bayonet measuring 21" overall with a 18" blade. Shows age patina, wear, use, some scattered pitting on the socket area mostly. Screw missing to the collar ring. Ricasso stamped, "U.S./s". The scabbard shows scattered paint loss, the frog brass rosette is marked, N.G.P. which stands for National Guard of Penn. The leather is stamped on the back hangar in a circle, "CO. H /G.P." Co. H was in the 18th Regiment of Pennsylvania's Militia. A nice piece. See photos.
