Description: USB Tester FunctionsKey Features:System Initialization Indication: Detects host device initialization via the USB bus. The tester works even if there is no image output, provided the CPU, system hub, RAM, and BIOS function properly.USB Port Functionality Check: Verifies the data link functionality of the USB port.USB Data Lines Check: Checks for short circuits or low resistance in USB data lines.Plug and Play:Automated Functions: No user actions are required; just plug the tester into a USB port. Broad Compatibility: Compatible with PCs, laptops, phones (using a USB-C or OTG adapter), routers, smart TVs, and more.No drivers required: Works with any device that supports a Standard USB HID Keyboard. Data Line Check:Short Circuit Detection: Automatically checks for short circuits upon connection, with a continuous beep and SHORT indicator if a short circuit is detected.Normal Operation: With normal line resistance, the tester remains in sleep mode, and the indicators are inactive.Power Indication: When the power is turned on, the tester's INIT indicator blinks slowly, indicating that the USB port is powered and waiting for initialization.System Initialization Indication:Even if the computer's GPU, screen, or video output channel is faulty, the tester will still indicate system initialization. This feature allows system board boot to be tested without needing to assemble the device and connect to the screen. After successful initialization and USB bus polling, the tester emits a short beep, and the INIT indicator blinks rapidly. By default, the tester emulates periodic pressing of the CAPS LOCK button, allowing you to monitor the device "hangs" by observing the CAPS LOCK indicator on the physical keyboard. CAPS LOCK blinking can be disabled by pressing the button on the tester (while connected). Pressing the button again emulates text input, and pressing it once more returns to the CAPS LOCK toggling mode. In case of sucessfull initialization, the NUM LOCK status is displayed on the SHORT indicator. It is assumed that initialization as such indicates the absence of a short circuit. This feature allows you to check that the USB is working correctly in one more way: switching the NUM LOCK mode from the keyboard will show the current mode on the tester. Battery Charging:Built-in Battery: Charges from any suitable PSU or the device under test if there is 5V on the USB connector. Full charge in about 1 hour.Battery Check: Press the button to check the battery charge:1 beep and 1 INIT blink = normal charge3 beeps and 1 SHORT blink = low chargeNo reaction = deep discharge or faulty tester In most cases, a faulty USB results in no power supply voltage on the USB ports. Therefore, the tester has a built-in battery to measure the resistance on the signal lines. When the tester is not connected to any device, the charge is not consumed.Protective Design:ESD Protection: Tester components are protected from electrostatic discharge.Compact Size: 17 mm width allows the use of adjacent USB connectors.Support:Customer Service: For any questions, feel free to contact us.
