It reproduces from the roots ‘RHIZOME’ to make new plants. This is what you’re buying a clump of RHIZOME. I will ship the Rhizome in a ziplock wrapped in lightly wetted paper. One you receive the Rhizome you’ll need to plant it. I started with one plant four years ago. I’ve taken off about 100 plants and sold them. And I still have a patch of about 60 plants. It reproduces really nicely. It likes medium sun. If it gets all day sun it will burn the leaves. You have to find its happy zone. Because it’s variegated it has less green area to soak up the energy from the sun. So if it gets not enough sunlight it will grow more green leaves. If it gets enough sunlight, it will grow more variegated leaves. If your area freezes I’d plant it in a pot that can be brought inside. My area in central Florida gets occasional freezes. About 1-2 nights a year. It does fine for me, but I have it very close to the house. So it gets some warmth from the house. Once you receive the root, RHIZOME. You’ll need to plant it. I’d plant it about 3 inches deep, in medium sunlight. That means an area that gets about 4-6 hours of sunlight a day. Water when you plant it and then every 3-4 days. If you order on Monday or Tuesday It will ship the next day. If you order Wednesday, Thursday,Friday,Saturday, or Sunday, it will be shipped the next Monday. This is because i don’t want it sitting in the post office any longer than it needs to. And it might not make it to you before Sunday. Any questions please ask.
